Number one son beats me to it

Well, looks like the double-F-ers really went for it this morning. Let's not let a silly little thing like a constitutional challenge get in the way of an election. They must have all their t-shirts and stuff printed up already.

I actually had a fairly lengthy post in mind to explain what a seriously dangerous and irresponsible game the Bert is playing by dissolving a Dail while there's a constitutional challenge going on but it turns out that my big brother beat me to it. my post would have been funnier, younger and more handsome but it seems a little redundant now.

The fact that I'm highlighting something Daragh did in a positive light might indicate how important I actually think this issue is. Big tip of the hat to himself for focussing his pedantic super powers on this one.

Massive wag of the finger to Fianna Fail. When you consider Bertie is so ashamd of being the 'laughing stock' of Europe because of our old-fashioned (but verifiable and secure) voting technology he's got a neck like a jockey's arse to then effectively disenfranchise most Leaving Cert and 3rd level students...

Reason election was called the way it was is that Ahern and Co. have no desire to get back into power. Suspected it at the weekend, watched Q&A last night and was convinced. Election not unconstitutional as the mechanics are in place to resolve boundary dispute (undemocratic and arrogant yes, but sadly not unconstitutional)
